When did we lose our soul?
Was it the self righteous wars we plagued upon distant peoples undesiring of our forceful unity?
Was it the indifference channeled in our substanceless mockery that armed radicals to divide?
Was it the evil of greed’s cruelty that allowed a ceaseless genocide to be inflicted upon children?
Or was it the destructive wrath within a supremacist alliance of puritanically controlling nations?
When will we long for a just peace,
When will find our humble humanity,
Where are the honest crowned hearts,
To stave off greed's mindless cruelty?
For I've felt the tears,
My life washed asunder,
And I've seen these wars,
My body torn from under,
And watched children burn,
My heart bleeding red sores,
While a world talks fast gain,
Electing moneymen to run it.
But no time left do I have,
For endless coiners-speak and corrupt excuses.
So mark this day as the turn,
When honesty's tears washed upon greed's lies.
