I’ve heard, at Rome’s peak, when the state was bankrupt churning in vast maintenance and internal discord, the rulers would murder some incredibly rich people, confiscating their wealth to pay down debts. If only that droning empire of today could be so gruesomely rational. Cause in all honesty, and I lament, but rarely did Rome cut its excessive military budget.
Yet, there’s some old and immensely rich folk needing free state prescriptions.
Sorry, I meant to say: the state should afford to offer them full proscriptions...
