It was not the slowness of everyday people's minds that brought us to this ruin,

It was the speedy intelligence of greed always acting thoughtlessly in its favour.

For a selfish person always thinks very quickly,

Inserting their needs into their thoughts first,

Which is always the easiest thing to envision.

And from self-idolatry and a savior's sensitivity,

Desiring to glow bright in a personal haunting.

But I have sat and contemplated my eternity,

Searching for light but ending in the darkness,

Which is why I only take what is needed of me,

Letting others sit beside me with equal place,

To make soothing music together while living.
